Vietnam is one of the most interesting countries in South-East Asia. On its way to becoming a high-tech country and with its dynamically young population, it nevertheless preserves its culture and traditions.
For more than 46 years after the end of the war, there was a break for Rotary in Vietnam. In 2021, the first two Rotary Clubs could be re-established with the support of RC Tutzing and District 1841 (further information in German available here). In Saigon two Rotary Clubs were chartered: The Vietnamese Rotary Club Saigon and the international Rotary Club Saigon International. Furthermore, the Rotary Club of Danang was chartered.
In addition, the Germany-Vietnam country committee was founded on 18 October 2022, as part of a Rotary friendship trip.
